ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Thursday announced that it would summon 47 Parliamentarians whose degrees were declared fake/invalid by Higher Education Commission (HEC) to hear their viewpoint.
Secretary ECP Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan giving briefing to the media after a meeting between ECP and HEC held over fake degrees issue, said verification of 303 degrees out of 1100 has been completed. He said the HEC has declared 246 degrees genuine and 47 fake.
Ishtaq Ahmed Khan said 90 percent universities have declared their degrees valid while copies of 22 degrees are illegible and that their clear copies will be provided to the HEC soon. |  | | | |
