 Import of 400,000 tonnes urea proposed for Rabi crops

 ISLAMABAD: Task Force for Agriculture has decided to forward its recommendation for import of 400,000 tonnes urea for Rabi season crops.

The task force which met here with Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture in the chair, reviewed the availability of urea for Rabi season crops.

The meeting also reviewed the country’s wheat stocks and decided to keep 25 tonnes wheat as safety stock.

It was also decided that support price for rice will be determined to protect the rights of rice farmers.
