 Loud blast near Iraqi health ministry in Baghdad

 BAGHDAD: A massive blast occurred near the Iraqi health ministry in central Baghdad on Saturday, a reporter of a French news agency witnessed, with large plumes of black smoke enveloping the area.

The explosion happened at 12.35pm (0935 GMT) in an area close to the health ministry and next to the former site of the country's defence ministry, which is now used as an Iraqi army base.
