BANNU: Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazlur Rehman said his party demands the trial of former President Gen (rtd) Pervez Musharraf; however, the present circumstances are bespeaking that there would be no trial at all.
Addressing a press conference here, he said there is no possibility of Musharraf trial; the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) could not have tried him, even if it were in power; hence, it should stick to its limits.
Maulana Fazl said US officials have endorsed that they have taken at least 200 houses on rent in Islamabad, adding the government should tread a clear policy line in this connection and the people of Pakistan be told as to what are US future plans in the country.
Responding a question, JUI-F Chief said if the prevalent system is parliamentary, then all the powers should be at the discretion of the PM.
He alleged that the NWFP government is the most corrupt government in the history of Pakistan; therefore, no development work is being carried out in the province for lack of law and order. | |
