Updated at: 1258 PST,  Tuesday, September 14, 2010
Force cannot tamp out Kashmiris demands: Mirwaiz SRINAGAR: Mirwaiz Umer Farooq of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference said the demands of Kashmiri youth could not be eliminated with force, Geo News reported Tuesday.

Talking to Geo News, Umer Farooq said the Indian government is panicked; accordingly, it clamped curfew in the valley during the Eid days.

He stressed Kashmir is a disputed issue, urging all political parties of India to strike agreement on the issue.

Commenting on the India-occupied Kashmir, senior Indian journalist Kuldip Nayyar said the powers designated to Indian Army in Kashmir should be taken back, adding Indian government has not made any decision regarding deputing more powers to the forces stationed in Kashmir.

Pakistan should be incorporated in the process for the solution of Kashmir issue, he added.
