| GEO Sports | | Australia should assess security risk before Indian tour | Updated at: 2216 PST, Monday, September 15, 2008 LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board feels the Australian Cricket Board should assess security before deciding on the Indian tour, since the situation there is not much different from Pakistan.
PCB's Chief Operating Officer Shafqat Naghmi told Geo News that the Aussies should have strong reasons for touring India later this month.
The bomb blasts took place in Delhi where Australia are to play a Test match next month. But even then I am 100% certain that the Australians will tour India because a lot of money is involved in the tour. We will have to wait and see what excuse they make when they reach India for the series.
He also disclosed that the West Indies Cricket Board has promised to send their side for three one dayers in December, even if the Test series doesn't materialize. | |
