Karachi Trade Union declines week’s 2 days holiday proposal KARACHI: The Trade Union of Karachi has strongly denied accepting the proposal of 2 days off in a week put forth by the government for the purpose of saving power and energy here on Monday.

Shamim Ahmed Shamsi, President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said here the economic condition of country has been deteriorating day by day which shall receive further setback if the aforementioned proposal is implemented.

He said that it would cause negative effects on the performance of producers and would lead to shortage in country’s production.
