 Altaf Hussain pays tribute to Dr Imran Farooq

 KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Chief Altaf Hussain said that the martyrdom of Imran Farooq was a great loss, but those who thought that they could "break our resolve were mistaken."

He said this while talking to members of the MQM Rabita Committee at Nine Zero, Azizabad here, said a statement issued by MQM here on Saturday.

The Rabita Committee members offered their condolences to their leader Altaf Hussain and paid rich tributes to Dr. Imran Farooq and said that Imran Farooq would always be remembered for his services to the party.

Altaf Hussain said that he had a long relationship with Imran Farooq that spanned over 32 long years.

He praised Imran Farooq as an ideological colleague and said that he had intimate relationship with Imran Farooq and the grief of his death could not be explained in words.

Altaf said that Dr. Imran Farooq has set a glorious example for others to follow.

He appealed to the workers to remain steadfast and continue their struggle.

Hussain said that this tragic incident has only strengthened the resolve of the workers.

The MQM Chief said that now was the time to redeem our pledge.

Altaf Hussain hoped that the murderers of Dr. Imran Farooq would be brought to justice.
