ISLAMABAD: The government has suspended several security guards on VVIP duty in the wake of the deadly Mariott Hotel blast.
Sources told Geo News that PM's Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik has suspended security guards who were posted at the Presidency, the Prime Minister House and Margalla Road on the day of the blast.
The sources said that inadequate security measures led to the suspension of the guards.
There are reports in the media about some kind of a security lapse leading to the blast that killed at least 53 people including four foreigners.
