| GEO World | | ETA car bomb explodes in northern Spain | Updated at: 0604 PST, Monday, September 22, 2008 MADRID: An ETA car bomb exploded Monday in the town of Santona in Spain's northern Cantabria region, but it was not immediately clear if there were any injuries, regional authorities said.
"There may have been some injuries," an official said following the blast that struck at 1 am (2300 GMT Sunday) and caused "considerable material damage" according to Santona police.
Police received an anonymous telephone warning of the impending explosion that claimed the attack on behalf of the Basque separatist group ETA. |  |
