Ten militants killed as operation continue in Bajaur PESAHAWAR: The Security Forces on Thursday continued offensive against Taliban fighters in the volatile Bajaur Agency and shelled their suspected hideouts with gunship helicopters and artillery fire, killing at least ten militants and injuring 20 others, officials said.

Spokesman of ISPR Major Murad Khan when approached by phone said the troops backed by artillery fire and gunship helicopters pounded the suspected positions of miscreants at restive Shinkot, Rasakai, Tang Khata and Damadola areas and destroyed several hideouts of miscreants by inflicting heavy losses to them.

However, official sources and eyewitnesses based in Bajaur said that 16 militants have been eliminated in today’s skirmishes.

Between Wednesday and Thursday night, the Security Forces heavily bombed the strongholds of Taliban fighters at Dabar, Sewai, Hadali, Cheenagai and Shago of Tehsil Mamond and troubled Rasakani, Tang Khata and Khazar and several militants were reportedly killed in the shelling.
