SJC meeting today to consider cases of misconduct ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) will meet here today at the Supreme Court building to consider pending complaints and cases of misconduct against judges.

Senior SC judges Javed Iqbal and Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan, Lahore High Court Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif, Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Tariq Pervez and SJC Secretary Faqir Hussain will attend the meeting, which would be presided over by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

At its last meeting, the SJC served notices on Justice Muhammad Afzal Soomro of the Sindh High Court for his alleged involvement in financial malpractices.

A two-member committee was formed to look into the allegations.
