 KARACHI: LPG consumption recorded a decline of 20 per cent in the current season.
LPG Distributors Association’s chairman, Hadi Khan talking to Geo News said that the higher prices in the current season and the weakening purchasing power of the consumers prompted low demand/sale as compared to the previous season. Khan said that presently there was no shortage of LPG due to 8000 tons of import, but the consumption was seen waning. Besides LPG, price-hikes in petroleum products were also causing low consumption of petrol and diesel.
