DARWIN, Australia: Australia easily defeated Bangladesh by eight wickets, making 118 for two from 22.4 overs in the second One-day International at the TIO Stadium here Wednesday.
Opener Shaun Marsh hit an unbeaten 69 and won the man-of-the-match award. He and his partner Shane Watson (29) made 73 for the first wicket before Shakib Al Hasan got two quick wickets.
Earlier, Bangladesh's batting woes continued when they were dismissed for just 117 after winning the toss and electing to bat.
Already 1-0 down in the series after being routed for a record low 74 in a 180-run defeat on Sunday, the tourists were in trouble from the moment they arrived at the crease, and lasted just 36.1 overs.
The third and the final One-day International will be played on September 6 also at Darwin.
