Police baton-charge lawyers in Islamabad, several injured ISLAMABAD: The protesting lawyers reached in front of the Supreme Court building after removing the barricades here in Islamabad on Thursday.

Police, in an attempt to stop lawyers, started baton-charge on them, causing injuries to many lawyers. Whereas, angry lawyers have reached in front of Supreme Court after removing barbwires and other hurdles.

The protesting lawyers were chanting slogans for the restoration of deposed judges and independence of judiciary.

Earlier, lawyers had announced to stage sit-in before the Parliament House.
