PHC deposed CJ re-appointment notification issued ISLAMABAD: The ministry of law, which had issued the re-appointment notification of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) deposed Chief Justice, Tariq Pervaiz Khan, was received by Justice Tariq Pervaiz and he will be taking oath of his office at the Governor House today.

NWFP Governor, Owais Ahmad Ghani will administer the oath to him.

Talking to Geo News, CJ Tariq Pervaiz Khan said that he has received the notification from the ministry of law. However, he refused to make any comment on it. PHC another deposed Judge, Justice Shah Jahan has also expressed his willingness on taking oath again. Justice Shah Jahan Khan told Geo News that if he receives the notification, he would be taking oath. On the other hand, PHC deposed Judge, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Dost Muhammad Khan have refused to take oath again. Both these Judges told Geo News that if the government wanted to restore them, then they should be reinstated by an executive order, as they considered Nov.3 actions unconstitutional.
