Aisam cruises into US Open q-finals NEW YORK: Pakistan tennis star Aisamul Haq advanced undauntedly into the quarter finals of US Open, Geo News reported Sunday.

Aisam was paired with Czech Republic’s female player in mixed doubles event and won through to quarter finals.

The Pakistan tennis star had a face-off in the second round with players from Kazakhstan and Australia and Pak player coupled with Czech player overwhelmed their rivals in the second players.

Pak-Czech pair was defeated after a tough fight. They were routed in first set on tie-breaker. But, Aisam and his Czech partner, dropping three games, won the second set.

The decisive set fell for Pak-Czech pair 10-4.
