Siraiki province to be formed in this govt: President

MULTAN: President Asif Ali Zardari Saturday announced that the formation of the Siraiki province would take place during the term of the incumbent Pakistan People's Party-led government, adding the Prime Minister would make a formal announcement in this regard.

He was speaking to the party's members and office bearers here at the Prime Minister's residence.

The President said: "The people of Southern Punjab will get their right (of having a separate province) during the present government's term".
