KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized that law and order will be maintained in Lyari at all costs without fear or favour with the help of law enforcing agencies and asked the Party workers not to be provoked into taking the law in their own hands.

This he said while chairing a special meeting on the law and order situation here in Lyari area held Tuesday at Bilawal House and attended by PPP legislators and office bearers belonging to Lyari.

According to spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar, the President said the situation in Lyari has to be tackled both by use of force against criminal elements and by pressing into service political means byway of addressing the genuine problems of development of the area. (APP)
