ISLAMABAD: Renowned analyst Najam Sethi, while commenting on the aftermath of the Supreme Court (SC) verdict, said the political turmoil will increase after the prime minister’s conviction.

He was talking with Geo News' senior anchor Kamran Khan today.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani was Thursday convicted of contempt of court by the SC over his refusal to obey an order to write to the authorities in Switzerland to ask them to re-open corruption cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.

Sethi said Pakistan People's Party (PPP) was expecting the same judgement and had prepared for this. Sooner or later, PM Gilani has to go, he added.

All issues revolved around the letter and now it is important to see how it would be done, he added.
