PPP activists protest against SC decision

KARACHI: Protests took place in several areas of the metropolis following the Supreme Court’s verdict in Prime Minter Gilani’s contempt of court verdict. Protests took place in Clifton, Gizri, Mehmoodabad, Kalla Pul, Shah Faisal Colony, Nazimabad, New Karachi and Lyari.

Protesters burnt tyres and blocked traffic on several roads of the city. Protestors also forced shops to close in several areas. A large number of PPP activists also protested outside the Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry.

Apart from Karachi protests were also held by PPP activists in several other cities of the province including Sukkur, Mirpur Khas and Naushero Feroze.
