ISLAMABAD: Students of Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) called for a strike while protesting against the sub-standard facilities provided to them and blocked the entry points here on Friday, Geo News reported.

According to sources, the protesting students told that they were deprived of quality services at the campus while the driver of a bus who killed a student due to overspeeding has not been arrested yet.

The students protested outside the campus and closed the main entrance gate. They also burned tyres in front of the university and blocked the road for traffic.

Sources told that the vice-chancellor of the university has ordered to close the university for two days and also instructed to vacate the hostel.
