Courts subordinate to parliament: Khosa

LAHORE: Governor Punjab Lateef Khosa said Saturday that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is not ineligible and that the Parliament can reject the court's verdict, Geo News reported.

Addressing as the Guest of Honour at Lahore Press Club, Governor Punjab said, "the courts are subordinate to the parliament".

Criticizing Babar Awan and Masood Chishti, Lateef Khosa said they have demonstrated as Mir Sadiq and Mir Jaffar for PPP.

Khosa said Nawaz Sharif tried to explain the court's verdict and threatened stage a long march and demanded resignation of the PM. He asked the apex court to take suo moto notice of the statements of Sharif brothers.
