ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has issued a warning to the Prime Minister to resign and implement the orders of the Supreme Court otherwise face a protest movement.

“We have launched our protest movement today from inside the house and will later protest outside the house as well,” Nawaz said.

Speaking to the media after the party’s Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif said the issue of Prime Minister Gilani's resigning was a matter of concern for the entire nation.

He said that there could also be a long march if the government failed to implement SC orders and the prime minister did not resign.“ This is a do or die operation.”

He said this government did not even accept an independent judiciary.

Nawaz invited all opposition parties including the JUI-F and PTI to also join the movement.

“This is the time to stand united to secure the future of Pakistan. I invite all sections of society to once again stand united for this cause.”

Nawaz said no lessons had been learnt from the mistakes of the past.
