Final date for Federal Budget on Monday

ISLAMABAD: The total outlay for the next years budget is estimated to be around Rs3 trillion while the date for the presentation of Federal Budget 2012-13 will be finalized by tomorrow (Monday).

A meeting of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was held under the chairmanship of Federal Finance Minister, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in which preparations for the next year's budget were reviewed besides the tax collection target.

Talking to Geo News, the Finance Minister said May 25 has already been approved as a date for presentation of upcoming budget but now it was being considered to extend it to June 1.

However, a final decision about the date will be made by tomorrow (Monday).
