Rescue operation continues at Gayari

RAWALPINDI: Army has employed all possible efforts and manpower for rescue activities at Gayari sector since last one month inspite of harsh weather conditions.

According to ISPR here on Monday, the excavators work at seven sites is in progress with full pace and restoration of water channel is also underway round the clock.

A nonstop, deliberate and methodical rescue operation, supported by all available resources is underway.

It may be mentioned here that 139 army soldiers and 11 civilians of 6 Northern Light Infantry Battalion came under a huge snow slide early morning on April 7, in Gayari sector of Siachen. (APP)
