LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said Tuesday that friendship was the only option for Pakistan and India.

Addressing the two day Pak-India economic conference being held in Lahore under the joint initiative of the Jang Group and Times of India, Sharif said both countries had to work together to eliminate hunger and poverty from the region.

Like Imran Khan who addressed the conference earlier, Sharif stressed the importance of improving relations with India.

Khan said that Pakistan and India need to trust each other in order to progress and the time has come to see change in the bilateral relationship.
