KARACHI: CID personnel Friday seized a stash of arms during a raid in Mawach Goth area of the metropolis, Geo News reported.
According to SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam, the Baloch Liberation Army operatives, arrested earlier, led his men to this hoard of assault-weaponry, which was bound for the warring gangsters of Lyari and the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan.
Details have it that one Rehman-ul-Allah was nabbed, while his comrade Sooba Khan escaped in the wake of the raid.
The seizure included two anti-aircraft guns, a couple of LMGs, a pair of rocket launchers, Triple-2 rifles, 50 rockets, 60 hand grenades, four mini-rockets, 200 anti-aircraft rounds, and hundreds of bullets of various calibers.
Ch Aslam also told media that the BLA members had disclosed that they used to smuggle arms & ammo into Karachi from Balochistan on buses.
