KARACHI: President Awami National Party Sindh, Senator Shahi Syed on Saturday termed the firing on Sindh Mohabbat rally in Karachi a sequel to May 12 tragedy.

He was talking to media persons after his meeting with a PPP delegation which, led by Sindh Minister Rafiq Engineer, called on him here at Mardan House.

Shahi Syed called for providing justice to the victims' families by holding an enquiry into the incidents of firing on Sindh Mohabbat rally and a bus in Nawabshah.

He condemned both the incidents in strongest terms and termed the firing on Karachi rally a sequel to May 12 carnage 'in which innocent people were killed'. The Chief Minister Sindh should take action, he added.

The Provincial Minister Rafiq Engineer said joint efforts were being made for establishment of peace in the province. A Joint Investigation Team was interrogating the accused of Karachi rally firing incident, he said.
