Rs179b Balochistan’s budget unveiled

QUETTA: Balochistan’s next financial year, 2012-13 budget envisaging an outlay of Rs179 billion was presented in the provincial assembly on Monday here, Geo News reported.

Provincial Finance Minister Mir Asim Kurd presenting the fifth budget of the government said that the economy was in tatters four years ago and we tried to overcome the situation by laying a network of development projects. He said Balochistan needed further resources.

Proceeding with his budget speech Mir Asim Kurd said that the proposed development expenditures amount to Rs35.81 billion, while the non-development expenditures at over Rs144 billion.

Rs9.78 billion for health, while for law and order over Rs13 billion have also been proposed.
