One dead, 14 injured in Quetta blast

QUETTA: At least one person was killed and 14 others were injured after a bomb blast struck the provincial capital of Balochistan, Geo News reported Thursday.

Fearing a rise in the casualties the rescue sources confirmed the death of a person in the wake of a powerful explosion that rocked Quetta’s Ghausabad area near Satellite Town.

The blast is reported to have occurred near a mosque.

The dead and the injured have been shifted to civil hospital.

Hospital sources told Geo News that two of the injured were in critical condition and surgeons were struggling to save their lives in the emergency operation theater.

The nature of the blast has not been ascertained yet.
