LHC full bench to hear contempt of court petitions against President Zardari

LAHORE: A full court bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear two contempt of court petitions against President Asif Ali Zardari.

The three member full bench will be headed by Chief Justice LHC Umar Ata Bandial and will include Justice Ijazul Hasan and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.

The hearing of the petitions will begin from June 27. According to the petitions’, in an earlier ruling by the LHC, President Zardari had been stopped from conducting political activity in the presidency. However President Zardari did not comply with the court order which is why contempt of court proceedings should be initiated against him.
