PESHAWAR: Senior Awami National Party (ANP) leader Haji Adeel said on Sunday that constitutional complexities had been created over the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).

Speaking to Geo News, Haji Adeel further said these constitutional complexities could only be solved by Parliament.

“Only Parliament can solve these complexities, otherwise the authority to nominate the prime minister and chief ministers would also rest with the CEC,” Adeel said.

Parliament should bring a change in the rules, he added.
