Clinton hopes relations will improve during PM Raja Pervaiz's tenure

ISLAMABAD: US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton spoke to Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf over the telephone on Sunday and congratulated him on becoming Pakistan's prime minister.

Clinton told the prime minister that she hoped Pak-US relations would improve further during his tenure.

The US Secretary of State added that Pakistan and US were allies in the war against terror. Prime Minister Ashraf informed Hilary Clinton that Pakistan was adamant on rooting out terrorism.

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also thanked Hilary Clinton on congratulating him on becoming the prime minister.
