LAHORE: The Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC), Umar Ata Bandial said Tuesday that protests against unannounced loadshedding were justified.

In his remarks during proceedings of the unannounced loadshedding case, Justice Bandial said that in a city like Lahore, residents were without electricity and water for 18 hours and had no other option but to protest.

The CJ LHC added that the government was discriminating when it came to loadshedding and officials sitting in air conditioned offices had no clue about the plight of the people.

The LHC has also summoned the loadshedding schedule and steps taken to inform the public for the last 6 months.
