ERBIL: Members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) allegedly bombed the Kirkuk-Jihan oil pipeline in Turkey yesterday, said Turkey’s Firat News Agency.
The agency reported that PKK guerillas attacked the pipeline in a place between Midiat town in Mardin province and Idli town in Shrnakh province at 10:30pm.
After the explosion, a fire in the pipeline was visible from neighboring villages and areas, added the agency.
The pipeline connects Kirkuk oil fields with Turkey and the Mediterranean Sea.
