ISLAMABAD: Hundreds of people demonstrated in cities across the country after Friday prayers to denounce a blasphemous movie.
In the federal capital, a rally was taken out from sector G-6 and tried to make its way to the red zone. Protestors clashed with the police as the rally was trying to make its way to the US Embassy. Protests were also held outside the Lal Masjid (Red Mosque).
Protests were also held in Peshawar and Lahore, while the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) organised a rally in Karachi.
The blasphemous movie has led to protests in most Muslim countries across the world.
