Govt prepares draft for Swiss letter

ISLAMABAD: The government has prepared a draft of the letter intended to be sent to the Swiss authorities, following the orders of the Supreme Court in the case of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation, it has been learnt.

According to sources, copies of the draft have been sent to the President, Prime Minister and Law Minister for review.

The draft of the Swill letter, spreading on two pages, was prepared in the Chamber of Senator Wasim Sajjad about 3-4 days ago and was given a final shape today and sent to the President, PM and Law Minister for their assessment, the sources added.

The draft proposes to withdraw the letter of former attorney general Malik Abudl Qayum written to Swiss authorities on May 22, 2008.
