Extra-limb baby discharged from hospital
KARACHI: National Institute of Child Health (NICH) doctors examined the baby boy born with six legs at Sukkur and discharged him from the hospital.

The extra four limbs of the baby were removed in a successful operation at the hospital on April 19.

NICH deputy director Dr Arshid Domki said that a team of doctors after detailed examination discharged the baby, whose jubilant parents then left for home.
The baby was born at Sukkur in the house of one Imran Shaikh on April 13, and admitted to NICH on April 16.

Dr Arshid said not only the parents but doctors and staff of the NICH were also happy on the successful surgery.

He said the NICH is well-equipped for complicated operations and it could be made one of the best children hospitals of the region if the authorities provide required funds, facilities and manpower. (PPI)
