Budget FY14: Rs295,518mn for 41 ministries, divisions
ISLAMABAD: The government in the budget 2013-14 has earmarked Rs295,518 million for 41 federal ministries/divisions in the PSDP for the year 2013-14.

According to highlights of the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), the Defence Division has been allocated Rs3,545.5 million as compared to Rs1,238.1 million last year.

The Water and Power Division (Water Sector) has been allocated Rs57,840.2 million, the Cabinet Division Rs2,179.8 million, the Capital Administration & Development Division (CADD) Rs1,505.7 million and the Commerce Division Rs 841 million.
Rs 109.3 million has been earmarked for the Communication Division (other than NHA) and Rs2,300 million for the Defence Production Division.

The Economic Affairs Division has been allocated Rs104.5 million while the Education and Training Division has been given Rs5,237.1 million.

The Establishment Division has been allocated Rs79.4 million and the Federal Tax Ombudsman Rs31.3 million.

Finance Division has been given Rs13074.2 million while the Foreign Affairs Division has been earmarked Rs255.2 million.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has been allocated Rs18,490 million as compared to Rs15,052 million last year.

Housing & Works Division has got Rs3,779.7 million this year while the Human Rights Division has been allocated Rs78 million.

The Industries Division has been given Rs779.8 million. The Information & Broadcasting Division has been allocated Rs492.8 million as compared to Rs422.3 million last year.

The Information Technology & Telecommunication Division has been allocated Rs927.1 million while the Inter-provincial Coordination (IPC) has been given Rs437.6 million.

The Interior Division has been given Rs6,259.2 million as compared to Rs6,349.8 million last year.

Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit Baltistan Division has been allocated Rs29,590 million while Law Justice & Parliamentary Affairs Division has been given Rs2,364 million.

The Narcotics Control Division has been allocated Rs326.3 million while National Food Security & Research Division has been given Rs750 million.

The National Heritage & Integration Division has been earmarked Rs12 million while National Health Services Regulations & Coordination Division has been allocated Rs25,739.2 million.

The Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission has been allocated Rs52,300 million while the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority has got Rs316 million.

The Petroleum & Natural Resources Division has been allocated Rs50 million while the Planning & Development Division has been given Rs10,658.6 million.

The Ports & Shipping Division has been earmarked Rs500 million and the Production Division has got Rs1,100 million.

Railways Division has been earmarked Rs30,964.9 million as compared to Rs20,707.3 million last year.

The Revenue Division has been allocated Rs533.3 million while the Science & Technological Research Division has been given Rs2,172.6 million.

The States & Frontier Regions Division has been earmarked Rs18,500 million while Statistics Division has got Rs220 million.

SUPARCO has been earmarked Rs700 million while Textiles Industries Division has been allocated Rs315 million.

Rs114,482 million has been earmarked for WAPDA and NHA corporations. Out of the total amount, WAPDA will get Rs51,443.4 million and NHA Rs63,038.6 million.

Another Rs540,000 million has been earmarked for Special Programmes, New Development Initiatives and ERRA. Out of the total amount, Rs5,000 million has been allocated for special programmes and Rs115,000 for new development initiatives. Both are new heads as no amount had been earmarked for any of the two last year.

ERRA has also been allocated Rs10,000 million this year. (PPI)
