KP senior minister for national policy to end drone strikes
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister Siraj ul Haq on Monday demanded of the federal government to constitute a national policy with the cooperation of all four provincial governments and establishment to put an end to US drone attacks.

Pakistan has long been publicly opposing US drone strikes in its northwestern tribal region near Afghan border. Islamabad says the strikes are counterproductive and fuel extremism in the country which has been battling militants for almost a decade.

However, the US continues to hit Pakistan’s restive tribal belt claiming that the militants have safe havens in the region.
