Two soldiers martyred, two injured by Indian firing at LoC
RAWALPINDI: Two Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom and two others were injured as a result of two separate incidents of Indian troops unprovoked firing at Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday.

According to ISPR, in the first incident at 1150 hours on Thursday, a Pakistani soldier sepoy Habib embraced martyrdom due to Indian troops unprovoked firing at Rakhchakri sector near Rawlakot. While in the second incident, which took place in Thursday evening, a Pakistani soldier sepoy Gul Wahab embraced martyrdom and two other soldiers were injured as a result of Indian troops unprovoked firing at Tatta Pani sector.

Pakistani troops responded effectively to Indian unprovoked firing.

An Army captain was killed and a solider wounded during unprovoked shelling by Indian troops at the Shakma sector of LoC on Tuesday night.

Earlier on Thursday, the Foreign Office spokesperson, Aizaz Chaudhry said Pakistan was showing restraint over relentless violations on the Line of Control by Indian troops and has lodged a protest with New Delhi.

Aizaz Chaudhry added that Indian violations of the ceasefire agreement were hindering the peace process.
