Boiler explosion at Lahore restaurant leaves one injured

LAHORE: A man was injured and a restaurant was destroyed in a huge explosion at a shopping plaza in Gulberg area on Friday.

Bomb Disposal Squad and police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. The BDS said that the blast occurred when a boiler exploded at a restaurant.

The police said that a security guard identified as Nadeem sustained minor injuries in the incident while a vehicle was also damaged after bricks fell on it from the affected building.

According to reports, the restaurant, where the boiler exploded was to be inaugurated today.
