MQM rejects New York Times report about Altaf Hussain as baseless
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee Saturday rejected a report published in US newspaper ‘New York Times’ as a mischievous attempt to assassinate the character of party's supreme leader, Altaf Hussain, Geo News reported.

“The news story, reported by Declan Walsh, who was expelled from Pakistan after the government declared him a persona-non-grata, is absolutely unfounded and fabricated”, said the MQM Coordination Committee in a statement issued here.

The statement also said that MQM condemns the story in the strongest of words and would drag Mr Walsh to the court for libel.

“We are consulting with legal experts to file a defamation lawsuit against the NYT journalist”, the statement further added.
