5-year-old rape victim improving, says Lahore hospital
LAHORE: The hospital administration in Lahore has stopped police from recording statement of the five-year old girl brutally raped by unknown men.

The medics at the city's Services Hospital said on Sunday that the mental condition of the child did not allow her to record the statement as she was horrified due to the brutality meted out to her.

Dr Shafique Ahmed said that the girl had undergone a surgery while one or two more surgeries were to be carried out.

Speaking to media, he said that the rape victim would be shifted from the ICU to ward within the next three days.

He said that the patient was still in the ICU and her condition was gradually improving.

Geo News reporter said that the hospital administration had not allowed a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf women wing leader to visit the child on Sunday.

On the other hand, police concede that they were not able to make any solid development to arrest the culprits so far.
