Pakistan’s enemies, external forces do not want peace talks: Sami
AKORA KHATTAK: Maulana Samiul Haq member of the committee nominated by the Taliban told reporters on Friday that Pakistan’s enemies and external forces did not want peace talks in the country.

Maulana Sami said following Thursday’s bombing targeting the police in Karachi, the Taliban had accepted that attacks were being carried out in their defence. “We have asked them (Taliban) to stop all kinds of attacks.”

He informed the press that the committees of the government and Taliban would meet today. During the meeting the letter written by the government committee seeking an end to Taliban activity will be discussed.

Earlier, Maulana Samiul Haq said the government committee was conducting a media trial of the dialogue process. His statement was in response to government committee coordinator Irfan Siddique who spoke to reporters and said they had not received any information pertaining to the next meeting with the Taliban committee.
