SC reiterates 3G, 4G auction will take place on April 23

A three member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Jawaad S Khawaja heard the Universal Service Fund case on Wednesday.
During proceedings, Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PT) chairman, Ismail Shah informed the apex court that four cellular companies had expressed interest in the auction and submitted a 15 per cent bid bond.
The PTA chairman expressed hope that the auction would generate Rs1.3 billion in revenue.
The apex court ordered that the revenue generated from the auction will be held in the federal consolidated fund until it is decided whose accounts it will be transferred to.
