Suspension of Geo News transmission ‘regretful’: Rashid

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has regretted the suspension of transmission of Geo News channel in some areas.

The information minister telephoned chairman Pakistan Electric Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) and asked him to restore the broadband and cable position of Geo News.

The PEMRA chairman assured Pervaiz Rashid that he would take steps to restore the transmission of Geo News in the areas where the channel’s transmission is suspended.

Pervaiz Rashid said that creating hurdles in the distribution of the Daily Jang newspaper is also regretful.
