Khi airport attack: Bodies of seven trapped persons recovered

KARACHI: Rescue teams recovered the bodies of seven people trapped in cold storage of the cargo complex 28 hours after the attack on Karachi airport.

The bodies recovered also bore bullet wounds and have been handed over to families.

Rescue sources said the bodies were recovered by destroying the wall of the cargo terminal.

All the bodies were unrecognizable and shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities.

The teams of Army Engineering Core, Rangers, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and others took part in the rescue operation.

During the attack, local employees of a foreign company took refuge in the cargo complex; however, they could not come out after a fire erupted there.
