Arsalan Iftikhar to file reference against Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: The son of former Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Arslan Iftikhar said he will file a reference against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan for violating Article 62 and 63 of the constitution.

Arslan has contacted the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) seeking a copy of Imran Khan’s nomination papers. The former chief justices’ son met with the Election Commission Secretary and spoke with the media stating there was confusion over Imran Khan’s status as a parliamentarian.

Arsalan told the media he would be filing a reference to have Imran Khan disqualified from the National Assembly after getting all the relevant documents.
